So, we’ll start with my go-to efficient video. This video contains five different series of 10 minute videos. I personally choose two videos at a time as my customized workout and focus on different parts of my body so I’m working all those muscles and building up endurance. You can choose whether you would like to do just one fast 10 minute session or all five, it’s completely up to you! Some of my favorite features of these videos are: I can always break a sweat, they take up so little time in my day, I don’t have to go to a gym (I can do them in the comfort of my own home,) AND it’s portable, so there’s no excuse for cheat days! This is the exact video I own and I can already see my body changing and my muscles growing, definitely recommend this to anyone who wants a quick, fast, workout session that you can customize and do as much or as little work as you would like!

Next, we have some of my favorite equipment that I have found very beneficial and necessary in my fitness journey.
I’ll start from the ground up, a yoga mat is essential for the support and cushioning of any workout done at home on a harder surface. You may be wondering, I thought yoga mats were meant for yoga only? Well, that’s not exactly true! I prefer using my yoga mat for the 10 minute burst video sessions I do at home as it helps with my balance and gives me extra padding for all exercises. I also love the fact that the yoga mat prevents me from slipping and sliding around while working out, because we don’t want to have any pulled muscles or injuries here! Alright, now I want to introduce you to the weighted exercise ball, yes I said weighted. Some of the reasons why I prefer a weighted exercise ball is that it can be used in a multitude of ways, all having different effects on the body. Also, it tends to hold up and last much longer than the alternative non-weighted style balls. I really appreciate this style of exercise ball because I can do anything ranging from crunches and situps to a ball pass from my feet to my hands. I find this model very useful and affordable considering I use it practically everyday! There are many different functions this ball possesses, feel free to youtube other methods and mention what you loved most in the comments below!
Now onto the real muscle toners and builders. If you aren’t big on weight lifting and don’t have the materials needed easily accessible check out these babies that are just as effective if not more so! Here I have included a basic pack of exercise bands complete with a DVD, door anchor, and bag for portability purposes. This is a GREAT starter kit for anyone interested in learning how and where to use these bands! Next we have a pack of three resistance bands, now keep in mind these are medium strength so you may want to do some additional research before you purchase to be sure you won’t over exert yourself. But, once again these are extremely versatile and can be taken with you just about anywhere.

Alright, we’ve made it through the workout and now the most important step has come. STRETCH! As many professional athletes, doctors, and physical therapists will say stretching is a crucial aspect of building the bodies strength. So, of course there are the traditional stretches but if you want to really get that deep tissue massage your body needs, check out this baby! These things work wonders for all body parts, it relieves tension in the muscles, aids in stretching your ligaments, and even though it may be slightly painful at first your body will thank you when you aren’t sore after your hardcore workouts! Personally I prefer the deep tissue style with ridges so that it really gets down deep to the muscle, but if this seems to be too strong for your liking I would recommend a basic foam roller which can be found in the link below as well.
